Hurricane passes...

The happy-honeymooners survived the storm in Jamaica, and are just fine. Many of the services at the resort are still shut down, however. Okay, I'll stop worrying now.

Jamaica Update!

Brandi got word to me they were ok. They plan to ride out the storm at the resort in Negril on the west coast of the island. The storm is hitting them tonight.

Gustav hits Jamaica!

The happy couple is honeymooning in Jamaica right now, and Tropical Storm/Hurricane Gustav is now hitting the island. The parental worrying just never stops! We have not heard from them since Sunday, so the worry will continue...I'll update as necessary.

The Bride walks...

For those of you who may have missed it...
You missed out on seeing one of the most
beautiful brides that ever walked the aisle!

Brandi and Brandon tied the knot this weekend in a beautiful ceremony. The bride was stunning...did I say that?

Thanks to all who attended. Your presence was much appreciated. Everything went off without a problem, and I think everyone had a good time. I received many compliments on the reception, and again the slide show. I will soon be posting the show here, so stay tuned. Thanks for the compliments, we all worked very hard to pull this off.
We are all very thankful for your help, support, and attendance!

The happy couple now has their toes in the sand down in Jamaica for their honeymoon. I feel as though I should be there with them! Those of you who have undertaken such a major production know what I'm talking about.

As Jimmy would say, it's time to "Breathe in, Breathe Out, Move on."

Cruise FYI....Did you know?

We are 183 days from Cruise 2009!

Here is some cruise trivia to keep you going:

Did you know?
It's illegal in many islands (including Barbados and St. Kitt's) to wear any camouflage clothing?
Only local military is allowed in camouflage.
They enforce this rule, so keep that in mind when you pack!

Some Life Lessons...

This has been pubished all over, don't know who to credit. The story is very true...so READ IT!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him.
When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.
The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full they agreed it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar . Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous “yes.”
The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.
“Now,” said the professor, as the laughter subsided, “I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things- your God, family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favourite passions–things that if everything else was lost and only they remained your life would still be full.
The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car.
The sand is everything else — the small stuff.
If you put the sand into the jar first,” he continued, “there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.
Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.”
Take care of the golf balls first — the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.”
One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.
The professor smiled. “I’m glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there’s always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.”
